Luigi XVI Inlaid Chest Of Drawers – Late 18th Century
An elegant Louis XVI-style chest of drawers, dating from the late 18th century, featuring refined floral and geometric inlays crafted from contrasting woods.
The front features three drawers—the top one being narrower—embellished with delicate plant motifs. In the center stands an octagonal medallion depicting the caduceus, flanked by floral compositions—a symbol traditionally associated with Mercury.
The piece is further enhanced by polychrome fillets, elegant gilded metal handles and vents, tapered legs, and a fine top in veined gray marble.
