Mid-18th Century Louis XV Chest Of Drawers With Siena Marble
Refined and unique crossbow-front chest of drawers, finely veneered in olive burl and inlaid with geometric motifs in precious rosewood. The piece features the curved legs characteristic of the period and three drawers, fitted with locks and keys made of gilt, lost-wax cast bronze. Adding further sophistication is the top, crafted from yellow Siena marble with an open-book (matched-grain) pattern. This is a piece of great taste and elegance, capable of lending a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. Tuscan craftsmanship from the Louis XV period, dating to around the mid-18th century.
