Biedermeier Display Cabinet In Walnut, Glazed On Three Sides, Second Half Of The 19th Century

A beautiful, finely crafted Biedermeier display cabinet dating from the second half of the 19th century, made of walnut veneer over softwood. The warm color of the wood, the lively grain, and the curved top edge give the cabinet an appearance that is both elegant and light.

The display cabinet is glazed on three sides and retains its original glass panes. This provides excellent visibility of the displayed objects, even from the side.

The carefully designed interior is particularly decorative, featuring several display surfaces, some of which are supported by small solid-wood columns. The various levels allow for the beautiful display of porcelain, glassware, silverware, or other collectibles.

Thanks to its slender shape and large glass surfaces, the display case does not appear bulky and fits equally well into both classic and modern interiors. It is particularly well-suited for the elegant presentation of unique, high-value pieces or small collections.

Condition

The display cabinet has been fully restored and is ready for installation. The wooden surfaces have been refinished with shellac, which beautifully highlights the walnut’s superb grain.

The original glass panes have been preserved and underscore the piece’s historical character.
