Statue Of The Three Graces
It depicts the famous classical motif of the Three Graces, showing three young nude women standing upright and closely embracing one another in a circular composition. The central figure faces the viewer, her head gently tilted back, while the two maidens on either side are shown in profile and turned inward, creating a strong sense of harmony and mutual connection. The women have finely modeled hair, with soft curls elegantly gathered at the nape of the neck. Enriching the scene, a delicate drape of fabric flows from the central figure’s lap, intertwining between the legs of her companions, lending movement and fluidity to the work. The entire sculptural group, characterized by the warm, earthy tones typical of the material, rests securely on an irregular base, also made of terracotta. There is a small flaw in the hair of one figure, as shown in the photo.
