"deco' Mobile" With Zodiac Signs
Deco-Style Cabinet with Zodiac Signs
An elegant Italian-made cabinet from approximately the 1930s or 1940s.
The structure is made of veneered wood, with 4 doors, each divided into 3 panels by slender wooden crossbars.
The panels dividing the doors feature a white lacquered background and, in the center, gold-leaf panels with bas-reliefs depicting the 12 zodiac signs.
Inside, the piece is very spacious, featuring shelves and drawers.
It has not yet been possible to definitively attribute its design to a specific artist, but given its beauty and craftsmanship, it was undoubtedly designed by a leading figure in design, such as Osvaldo Borsani or Gio Ponti.
The piece is in excellent structural and overall condition, with a few minor signs of age visible in the photos.
