Marble sculpture by Paul Baeteman
Abstract artwork on a solid marble base
The undulating, organic forms of the onyx marble contrast beautifully with the black base’s clean, geometric lines, a hallmark of Baeteman’s late-period modernist and abstract work
Signed on the back of the sculpture
The black base measures 8 cm deep, 7 cm wide, and 11 cm high
The sculpture measures 8 cm deep, 9 cm wide, and 20 cm high
Total height: 24 cm
Paul Baeteman (1933–2022) was known for combining undulating lines and organic forms with the raw texture of natural stone
In very good vintage condition, showing only very slight signs of wear
