Small, Curved Sideboard With Three Curved Sides, Made Of Oak — Louis XV Period, 18th Century
An elegant small sideboard in molded and carved oak, from the Louis XV period, featuring a curved profile on three sides.
Its ornate front opens with a two-panel door, accented by scalloped moldings and carved volutes. The rounded side panels, adorned with long molded motifs ending in scrolls, harmoniously extend the curves of the piece.
The lower crossbar, cut out and embellished with small scrolls, rests on arched legs with scrolls. The curved sides feature molded panels, while the top, edged with a thick molding, follows the contours of the sideboard.
The oak has a beautiful, warm, light patina that highlights the wood’s grain and the relief of the decoration.
Its particularly compact dimensions give it great charm and allow it to fit easily into an entryway, living room, or bedroom.
