Ganymede – Patinated bronze sculpture, stamped Graux-Marly Frères / Paris

An elegant bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting Ganymede, a figure from Greek mythology, portrayed as a young man in a graceful and naturalistic pose. The composition stands out for the finesse of its modeling, the rendering of the anatomy, and the beautiful attention to detail, particularly the curly hair, the sculpted attributes, and the interplay of volumes.

The antique patina, with its brown hues, delicately highlights the reliefs and lends the piece a remarkable decorative presence.

The sculpture bears the stamp “GRAUX-MARLY FRÈRES / PARIS,” a signature attesting to its workshop provenance or manufacture.
