Oil On Panel, 19th Century
Artist: Diago L
A charming small oil-on-panel painting from the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860) depicting two figures (mother and daughter?) walking along a path at the edge of a wood.
This painting is signed “Diago L” in the lower right corner, but we have found no information about the artist. He must be one of the many “minor masters” of that era.
The composition is well-structured, and the perspective is good.
The 19th-century frame, made of stuccoed and gilded wood, is typical of that era.
In good condition.
An unpretentious painting, but very decorative and easy to display due to its dimensions
Panel dimensions: 22.5 cm x 15.5 cm
Dimensions with frame: 39.5 cm x 33.5 cm
