Large Oval Gilded Mirror With A Floral And Vine-decorated Pediment; Napoleon III Style, Late 19th Century
Large oval mirror with a frame of wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf. The openwork pediment is adorned with a carved design of grape clusters, vine leaves, flowers, and leafy scrolls. The bottom of the frame features a shell flanked by acanthus leaves, and a beaded border framing the beveled mirror completes the design.
Beautiful antique gilding, in excellent condition, late 19th century.
