Antique Sterling Silver & Cut Glass Dragon Tazza Centrepiece

An antique sterling silver and cut glass tazza or centrepiece, featuring a finely cast silver base in the form of a winged dragon supporting a removable cut glass bowl.

The solid sterling silver base is modelled as a three-dimensional mythical dragon with finely detailed scales, ridged wings, a curled tail and expressive facial features, standing upon an octagonal pedestal decorated with an embossed scroll and foliate border. The underside bears a 925 sterling silver stamp together with a separate hallmark incorporating a crown symbol.

The removable clear glass bowl has a wide, flared form with an elegant scalloped rim. It is richly decorated with alternating panels of geometric diamond cutting and finely frosted floral motifs, creating an attractive contrast between polished and satin finishes.

Combining exceptional craftsmanship with striking mythical design, this decorative centrepiece is equally suited as a fruit bowl, table centrepiece or display piece.
