Pair Of 17th-century French Changeur Candlesticks Made Of Polished, Turned Bronze And Retouched
Artist: Non Signé
A rare pair of polished bronze candlesticks, known as “Changeurs candlesticks,” with square, chamfered bases and sleek, well-proportioned bodies. Typical of these small, low-profile travel candlesticks—easy to place and striking in appearance. This pair—a rarity—dates from the early 17th century and has been well-preserved over time, featuring a side hole in the candle holder to facilitate wax drainage. This beautiful set has all the qualities needed to decorate a table, a desk, or a dressing table in an authentic style. In very good condition and highly decorative, these are lovely antique pieces (like the previous listings, they come from a major private collection in the Tarn region). A must-see for collectors.
