Vintage Hot Water Bottle Lamp, Restored
A chiseled and gilded bronze hot-water bottle lamp with two light arms and a green lacquered sheet metal shade.
Resting on an oval base, it features two covered inkwells made of gilded bronze. The shaft is adorned with garlands of pearls and twisted scrapers, motifs that are also found on the inkwells. But the decoration doesn’t stop there—it also features charming garlands of water leaves, including on the spouts, as well as lines of twisted cables and a pretty background of cabochons on the bodies of the inkwells. The top is adorned with an open fruit.
The lamp rests on a sea-green marble counter-base.
