Superb apothecary’s mortar made of solid bronze, dating from the late 16th or early 17th century, Louis XIII Renaissance period
A beautifully crafted piece featuring a classical design of vertical baluster-shaped buttresses all around the body. Very dense antique artisanal cast bronze, with a superb original patina and authentic signs of use at the bottom of the bowl and under the base.
