Louis XVI-style Display Cabinet With Marquetry – White Marble – 19th Century
Elegant Louis XVI-style display cabinet, crafted with marquetry, dating from the late 19th century.
This straight-sided piece rests on four tapered legs topped with bronze feet.
It is crowned by a white marble top that extends slightly beyond the sides.
The upper section, glazed on the front and sides, opens with a door and provides a beautiful display for collectibles.
The interior features two levels lined with green fabric, which casts a bright light on the displayed objects.
The lower section opens with a solid, particularly decorative door, adorned with radiating fan-shaped marquetry, which is also found on the side panels.
The entire piece is accented with geometric marquetry borders and adorned with gilded bronze details: decorative finials, keyholes, feet, and a central lower ornament.
An elegant and decorative display cabinet with narrow proportions that allow it to fit easily into any interior, ideal for displaying porcelain, glassware, bronzes, or collectibles.
