Imhof Desk Clock
Artist: Imhof
An elegant and understated square desk or table clock in gilded brass, in the modernist style, produced around 1960 by the prestigious Swiss manufacturer Arthur Imhof.
The clean, plain white dial features geometric hour markers applied in gold-plated brass and matching stylized hands, offering a minimalist and chic design characteristic of the Mid-Century period.
The polished and brushed brass case rests on two ball-shaped feet at the front and features a hinged carrying handle. The dial is mounted on a pivoting axis, allowing easy access to the back of the movement.
On the back, the brass caseback bears the original engraved technical specifications:
• "SWISS lever escapement c. 244" (Swiss lever escapement, high-end Imhof Caliber 244 with 15 jewels).
• The butterfly-shaped winding and setting keys are original and integrated into the case.
• Presence of the micrometer screw for fine adjustment of the regulator with its original A-R / F-S (Fast-Slow) scale, which is perfectly legible.
Condition
• Aesthetics: Good overall condition, superb patina on the original gilded brass (very slight micro-scratches from normal wear, see photos). Fast-Slow) scale, which is perfectly legible.
Condition
• Aesthetics: Overall in excellent condition, superb patina on the original gilded brass (very slight micro-scratches from normal use; see photos). The white dial looks very fresh.
• Mechanics: Item sold as-is, not serviced. The movement is currently jammed, and the mainspring appears to be fully wound (the wing screw is under tension; we did not force the mechanism).
Weight: 1 kg
Ideal for a collector, a restoration project, or for high-end decorative use.
