Untitled Bronze Sculpture By Hilde Van Sumere

Untitled polished bronze sculpture on a black marble base by Hilde Van Sumere
Hilde Van Sumere (1932–2013) was a leading Belgian sculptor who gained international renown for her geometric and abstract works of art. She is considered one of the most important figures of Constructivism in Belgium. Her sculptures are characterized by a powerful simplicity and a constant quest for harmony, serenity, and balance.
While Van Sumere is widely celebrated for her monumental public installations in white Carrara marble and steel, her small studio bronzes are highly sought after by collectors.
They serve as intimate, tactile expressions of her broader spatial theories.
