Rare small marine oil lamp with agimbal suspension, made of wrought iron, featuring remarkableartisanal craftsmanship.
The assembly consists of severalarticulated concentric circles, allowing the lamp housing to maintain astable position despite the ship’s movements. The gimbal suspension systemwas particularly well-suited for lighting aboard vessels subjectto rolling and pitching.
The lamp features a beautiful antique iron patina,with natural oxidation and signs of wear. The various componentsare assembled with rivets and forged parts, reflecting anantique and entirely handcrafted construction.
A particularly interesting small size, witha diameter of approximately 10 cm.
