Pair of 19th-century Louis XVI-style candlesticks/torches, crafted from chiseled gilded bronze and veined marble (incarnat/griotte marble).
Each torch consists of a marble column resting on a square base adorned with a frieze of piastres/heart-shaped motifs, pearls, and gilded bronze spindle feet. The top is crowned with a potpourri vase carved with garlands of flowers and side handles.
Removable/reversible lid system:
The lids, topped with pine cone-shaped knobs, flip open to reveal the gilded bronze candleholder.
