Late 18th-century Travel Kit
Rare travel kit made of rosewood and brass. The set includes 23 items made of porcelain, glass, metal, and wood. Tea set, bottles, toiletries, sewing kit, mirror, and various utensils designed for the traveler’s comfort. Six small accessories are missing from the original inventory—a discreet omission that does not affect the set’s presentation or appeal, as themain pieces are all present. The various items are all in good condition. The case measures 15,94 inches by 12,59 inches and is 7,08 inches tall. Its small key is included.
Work from the late 18th century or the very early 19th century.
It is rare to find this type of set complete with its fragile porcelain table ware and glass pieces. An exceptional testament to the refinement and art of living of the aristocracy and the upper middle class of that era.
