BRONZE – FULL-LENGTH STATUE OF NAPOLEON IN A REDINGOTE BY GUILLEMIN
France, late 19th century.
Patinated bronze.
Height of the bronze: 25.5 cm, Total height with base: 30.5 cm.

A full-length figure of the Emperor in a frock coat, wearing his famous hat, holding a telescope in his left hand; sword at his side.
Signed “GUILLEMIN” on the pedestal, with the foundry’s stamp. Numbered on the back A 6806
On a stone base.

BIOGRAPHY:
Émile-Coriolan Guillemin was born on November 16, 1841, and died in 1907. French sculptor of the Belle Époque. A student of his father, the artist Émile-Auguste-Marie Guillemin, his work was exhibited at the Salon des Peintures et des Sculptures at the Louvre Museum in Paris between 1870 and 1899.
