Seditious Bonapartist Stamp. Rare.
Rare so-called "seditious" seal in turned boxwood depicting the profile of Napoleon I. These seditious objects were used by the Demi-Soldes (Napoleon's soldiers dismissed by King Louis XVIII and the Restoration). They allowed them to identify themselves as Bonapartists! The underside is marked in ink "NAPOLEON I 1810".
