A superb Parisian porcelain clock by Jacob Petit (JP), a renowned 19th-century Parisian manufacturer, adorned with rich polychrome decoration featuring relief and painted flowers, accented with gilding.
The clock features an elegant neoclassical design, with side handles, abundant floral decoration, foliage motifs, and rocaille feet. The top is adorned with a spectacular floral bowl in relief, giving the piece a particularly decorative character.
The dial is surrounded by painted and gilded floral decoration. The movement bears the inscription “LEROY & FILS – HORLOGERS DU ROI – PARIS,” a prestigious Parisian watchmaking firm.
