Elegant Chinese porcelain garden stool with polychrome decoration on a deep blue background.

With a slightly curved cylindrical shape, this piece features a rich decoration of lotus flowers and aquatic foliage, enlivened by dragonflies, rendered in a soft palette of pinks, greens, and whites, and accented by openwork geometric motifs on the body.

The finely executed decoration stands out against a midnight blue background typical of 20th-century Asian-inspired pieces. A frieze of stylized reserves and cabochons accentuates the composition.

The flat top allows for versatile use: as a stool, a seat, or a decorative piece for both the garden and the home.

Note the presence of an apocryphal stamp on the underside of the base.
