Living room furniture set consisting of five armchairs and one bergère made of re-stained wood

The backs are rectangular and molded with an elegant design.

The arms rest at the front on turned baluster legs.

The seats are trapezoidal in shape with molding, supported by a turned base with double bulbous feet.

One armchair stamped "JACOB Rue Meslée"

Inventory numbers of the armchairs:

C6903, C7590, CC11474 (remnants of a label), C12289, and stamped “JACOB D rue Meslée C6903.”

This Empire-era set is attributable to the Jacob workshop on Rue Meslée.
The five armchairs bear the CP iron brand of the Château de Compiègne.

Some crossed-out inventory numbers remain illegible on the inner straps.

One armchair has a slightly different backrest construction than the other five seats.
The strapping on four armchairs is original.
