Louis XVI-era Secretary Desk
Rare Louis XVI-era secretary desk in mahogany with ebony inlays. This piece, featuring exceptional cabinetmaking craftsmanship (entirely mounted on oak with a bronze clover-shaped lock), comprises an eleven-drawer section and a door-fronted compartment with three drawers. The writing height of the drop-leaf top is 75 cm.
The front and rear uprights are fluted and trimmed with brass. A piece of exceptional rarity and quality for connoisseurs of fine cabinetmaking. More information available upon request.
