Jean Rigaud (1912–1999):
A French painter best known for his seascapes and harbor landscapes, he frequently painted the Île d’Yeu, which he discovered in the 1950s, and created several paintings in Noirmoutier, including “Les Moulins” (1968). Several of his paintings have been acquired by the French government and are on display in the collections of various museums.
