Bressan Two-part Sideboard

The piece consists of an upper section with two doors that open onto a shelf,
surmounting a central niche with a scalloped front. This section is flanked by small
side panels. The lower section features three drawers on the front , followed by two doors
that open onto a spacious storage area with a shelf.

The piece is particularly decorative thanks to its molded and scalloped panels,
its raised frames, its carved stiles, and its legs with molded profiles.
The elm fronts (typical of the Bresse region) feature a beautiful flamed and veined grain,
with a warm and deep antique patina.

The central niche, with its undulating contours, adds a great deal of character to this
quintessentially regional piece of furniture.
