Pair Of Walnut Armchairs – Louis XIII Style – Turned And Carved Wood – 19th Century
A beautiful pair of large walnut armchairs, in the Louis XIII style, featuring an elegant structure of turned and carved wood.
The armchairs rest on four turned legs joined by an H-shaped brace, with a heavily turned front crossbar.
The armrests, which are particularly decorative, are carved with foliage motifs and terminate in generous volutes.
They are supported by turned uprights.
The wide, straight backs and comfortable seats are upholstered in a striped fabric in shades of ochre, beige, and blue-gray, secured by a row of decorative nails.
The set features a beautiful, warm walnut patina and an imposing silhouette, characteristic of furniture inspired by the 17th century.
