Gilded Bronze Desk Inkwell And Trinket Tray With Heraldic Decoration - Napoleon III Period - 19th Century

A late 19th-century chiseled bronze double inkwell or desk tray, bearing the initials “AD” on the reverse

The elaborate decoration features a central coat of arms framed by griffins and surmounted by a mascaron, complemented by foliage motifs and openwork friezes

The piece is enhanced by two integrated inkwells and high-quality chiseled decoration, in the historicist style of the second half of the 19th century

A particularly decorative desk accessory that can also be used as a trinket tray

Beautiful, nuanced antique patina, with some signs of wear consistent with its age
