A four-piece desk set with silver handles featuring golden foliage motifs on a blackened background in the Art Nouveau style. This set consists of
- An unengraved seal, 44.39 g, height 6.50 cm, and diameter 2.20 cm
- A letter opener, 33.72 g, Length 23 cm and Width 1.50 cm
- A bookmark, 17.56 g, Length 13.50 cm and Width 1.60 cm
- A cutting punch, 20.90 g, Length 13.40 cm and width 1.50 cm
Wild boar’s head hallmark: 800 thousandths, (from 1838 to 1962)
Master’s mark: LEFEBVRE Eugène & Co., 14 bis rue des Minimes, then 116–118 rue du Temple in Paris.
Company incorporated on August 8, 1899, for the purpose of manufacturing jewelry and silverware in gold and silver.
Mark registered on March 9, 1896, and canceled on June 11, 1910.
Manufacturer of tableware and costume jewelry: candy boxes, stamp boxes, salt shakers, carafes and jugs, letter openers, rattles, tea sets, vases, tea, dessert, and fruit serving sets, fish, strawberry, and cake servers, cutlery, mounted crystal, cane tips, and umbrella tips.
