Iridescent Glass Inkwell With Shimmering Colors, Made By Loetz, Notre Dame De Lourdes

Cylindrical inkwell with a tapered neck secured by a brass bandthat holds the lid in place.
The lid is adorned with a bouquet of wildflowersand the crowned ND monogram, the emblem of the Notre-Dame deLourdes. This symbol combines the royal crown, a sign of Mary’s glory, andthe letters ND, the initials of Notre-Dame.

The lower section, elegantlydecorated with floral motifs, evokes the lily, a symbol of purity and devotion.The glass inkwell, with its ribbed relief and iridescent huesof orange-yellow, green, and purple, is of a quality and craftsmanship comparable tothe works of the famous Austrian glassworks Loetz.
Whether in daylight or under artificial light, the colors of thisinkwell shift from green to purple, passing through yellow and orange.Unsigned.
