A round, domed plate made of hand-painted Limoges enamel on ablack background.
Mary, seated and dressed in a loose-fitting blue tunic, holds thenaked infant Jesus on her lap and is nursing him.
He is turned three-quarterstoward us. Joseph, dressed in green, stands slightly behind her and watches the scene.
Ona ribbon flowing behind Mary: “Memento meo mater Dei mei” (OMother of God, remember me).
Above their heads, in a blue cloud with outlineshighlighted by a gold line, a swarm of winged cherubs.
On the right, above Joseph’s shoulder, the enameler has monogrammedthe work: a “G” inscribed within a “D” ingold letters.

The rectangular frame, made entirely of carved and gilded wood, whereeach corner is adorned with stylized acanthus leaves in deep relief,this delicate composition stand out.
Very good condition, minimal losses in the relief sections of theframe.
