Engraved ivory plaque, likely from a cabinet drawer, Italy or Flanders. The scene depicts the baptem of a Young boy who is kneeing before the priest with outstretched arms. Other figures surround him, observing the scene. The plaque has a few cracks, but nothing is missing. The scene is engraved in dark brown/black. The plaque is apt on a smoked plexiglass base, dating from the 1980s.
