Solid oak floor clock of very fine cabinetmaking quality with generous moldings of Picardy origin.
The clockwork mechanism was entrusted to Joseph Chevassus fils in Arinthod in the Jura
(Arinthod is a French commune located in the Jura department in the cultural and historical region of Franche-Comté.)
Movement with enameled dial with Roman numerals, surmounted by an openwork bronze decoration with a sun supported by two angels, brass hands with a sun decoration; mechanism recently revised with its weights and winding key, pendulum in the shape of a brass lens.
Picardy late 18th or early 19th century
Very good condition, perfectly maintained.
