Bronze-plated Blotter And Letter Opener, Susse Frères, Signed Guenardeau

Elegant desk set comprising a blotter and matching letter opener, in chiselled bronze-plated with floral decoration.
The blotter features a relief decoration of garlands of flowers and bouquets, and retains its original pressure felt for drying ink.
The matching letter opener features the same floral relief decoration on the handle.
Both pieces bear the Guenardeau signature and the mark of the publisher Susse Frères, a prestigious Parisian company specialising in artistic bronze and luxury objects (19th – early 20th century).

Condition: very good overall condition, even gilding with slight patina from use.
