Three-drawer Chest, Attributed To Maison Roméo, Paris; Italian-made In The 1970s

A three-drawer chest of drawers made of black-stained wood, decorated with chrome-plated metal strips. Rectangular handles covered in beige-camel velvet and accented with chrome-plated rings. An overhanging base covered in the same fabric and edged with chrome-plated metal.

According to information provided by the current owner, this chest of drawers was reportedly purchased at the time from Maison Roméo in Paris. Since no purchase documents, stamps, labels, or markings have been found to confirm this provenance, the attribution to Maison Roméo is given subject to reservation and based solely on this oral account.

Signs of wear and age-related marks. The fabric-covered handles show scuffing, soiling, and variations in color, with more pronounced wear on certain edges. A metal fastener is missing from the handle of the top drawer. The metal trim shows slight signs of use. There is a small chip, approximately 1 cm in size, on the top shelf. See photos.
