A very large chandelier ball made of crystal or hand-blown, hand-cut glass. This is the central and most prominent piece of a large chandelier, hanging at the very bottom. Given the diameter of this very large ball, the chandelier for which it is intended may be 1 m or 1.5 m in diameter and 3 m high. Dates from the early 19th century, possibly the late 18th century.

A beautiful piece, rare and hard to find, intact, with a slight haze on the inside—which is normal for a piece hand-blown over 200 years ago.
