Set Of Baccarat Crystal Coffee Cups, Charles X / Empire Period; 19th Century
Artist: Baccarat
Antique set of cut crystal cups by Baccarat, dating from the Charles X period, circa 1825–1830.
These cups feature a slightly flared shape resting on a small circular pedestal cut with radiating ribs.
The body is adorned with a rich cut decoration consisting of large interlacing oval motifs, diamond points, and geometric cuts.
The quality of the crystal, the depth of the cut, and the extent of the decorative work are characteristic of luxury French productions from the first half of the 19th century and allow this set to be attributed to the Baccarat factory. These cups perfectly illustrate the taste of the Charles X period for richly cut crystal, intended for the refined tables and interiors of the Restoration era.
Height: 8.6 cm.
In good overall condition, with a few slight chips on the bases.
