A very fine Baccarat biscuit tin, "Empire" pattern.
Brass rim, handle, and lid; cut crystal bowl with an orange overlay and acid-etched finish.
Excellent condition, both glass and mount, with a few minor scratches visible on the underside of the bowl where it rests (see photos).
An antique "Empire" pattern piece featured in the 1916 toilet articles catalog, unsigned.
Dimensions: 18 cm high, 25 cm high including the handle, neck diameter: 11.3 cm.
