Pair Of Louis XVI-style Medallion Chairs, 19th-century Craftsmanship
Pair of Louis XVI-style chairs, made in the second half of the 19th century (Napoleon III period / late 19th century), in molded and carved wood with a beautiful Trianon gray patina. These chairs elegantly embody the hallmarks of the neoclassical style. They feature a molded medallion backrest, accented by a frieze of twisted motifs and crowned with a finely carved ribbon bow. The curved front panel rests on four tapered, fluted legs, topped with connecting blocks adorned with carved rosettes.
