Hammerman Brothers 14-karat Gold Signet Ring With A Phoenix Intaglio
Welcome to my shop. I am pleased to present this remarkable vintage signet ring from the renowned American jewelry house Hammerman Brothers, based in New York.
The ring is crafted in 14-karat gold and set with an oval blue stone engraved in intaglio. It depicts a phoenix rising from flames or a halo of light. The phoenix is an ancient symbol of rebirth, renewal, immortality, and victory over adversity.
The design is engraved in relief and as a mirror image, allowing the ring to be used as a functional signet ring. The central phoenix is surrounded by other decorative and symbolic elements, with a small scroll at the bottom.
The inside of the band bears the “14K” hallmark as well as the distinctive HB monogram, featuring the intertwined letters of Hammerman Brothers. Founded in New York in 1946, this American jewelry house is renowned for the high quality and often remarkable character of its gold jewelry.
The blue stone is likely lapis lazuli.
