Georges Guinegault, born in Rennes on March 27, 1893, and died in Dinard on July 26, 1983, was a French painter.

In June 1913, as a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, he won a prize in the general competition for decorative composition, “Bacon de Fenêtre,” organized by the Secretary of State for Fine Arts at the École nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
This painter and engraver subsequently studied under Eugène Delâtre at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. To launch his career, Guinegault moved to Montparnasse, where he rented a townhouse at 7 Rue Jules Chaplain. In 1933, his studio was located on Rue Dieulafoy in Paris.
He painted landscapes of Paris, the Manche department—particularly in La Hague—Brittany (Quiberon, Saint-Malo...), the Riviera (Saint-Tropez), the Pyrenees, the Beauce region, and the Basque Country (1948), as well as Orientalist scenes during his stay in Morocco (Marrakech, Meknes...). His Moroccan works are particularly sought after today.
He also painted portraits and, above all, numerous nudes.
