Antique Native American Indian Chief Walking Stick Cane, Silvered Gilt Bronze, Circa 1900

A superb and genuine late 19th-/early 20th-century walking cane with a richly figured rosewood shaft and an exceptionally well-cast bronze handle depicting a Native American chief wearing an elaborate feathered war bonnet.

The bronze is finely silvered and gilded, creating a particularly striking contrast between the face and headdress. The quality of the casting, modelling and finishing is outstanding.

This is an original period example of the very best quality—not one of the numerous modern reproductions now on the market. Indeed, this is precisely the type of genuine antique cane that those later copies seek to imitate. If you are looking for the best quality, this is it.
