Antique silver plated repoussé plaque depicting a thoroughbred horse, an elegant equestrian subject, dating to around 1900.

The finely worked relief shows a standing horse in a natural landscape setting with trees and ground detail. The modelling of the animal is expressive and naturalistic, capturing the strength and stance typical of late 19th century sporting and equestrian art.

It  bears a maker’s mark consisting of a shield containing the monogram “GMA” with the word “ISTRADO” above, indicating silver-plated manufacture.
