Antique Cambodian Khmer Bronze Ganesha, Hindu Elephant God, 19th Century Or Earlier

A charming antique Cambodian Khmer bronze figure of Ganesha, dating from the 19th century or earlier.

The elephant-headed Hindu deity is depicted seated upon an integral pedestal, with four arms and wearing a tall tiered conical crown. The strongly stylised provincial modelling, elongated almond-shaped eyes and treatment of the sampot are characteristic of Khmer artistic tradition.

The bronze retains an attractive dark patina.

Good condition.
