Large Display Cabinet In Carved Walnut In The Louis XV Style

A very beautiful walnut display case, richly carved and adorned with numerous decorative elements in the Louis XV style.

The upper section is dominated by an elegant, undulating pediment shaped like a gendarme’s cap, centered by a large floral and foliage motif carved in relief, accompanied by scrollwork and foliage.

The glass door, with scalloped edges, opens to an interior fitted with several shelves lined with a printed fabric featuring pastoral and countryside scenes in shades of red and cream, lending the piece a great deal of character.

The lower section features a richly carved drawer with floral decoration and a metal handle, followed by a paneled door with ornate moldings.

The piece rests on four curved and arched legs, joined by a low, scalloped crossbar adorned in the center with a prominent carved decoration.

A highly decorative, elegant piece with a striking presence, particularly well-suited for a classic interior or a collection of period furniture.
