Swiveling Full-length Mirror In The Neoclassical Style, Mid-20th Century

Neoclassical-style swivel full-length mirror, dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1940–1970)
  • Inspired by the Neoclassical / Hollywood Regency style, with a strong influence from the work of the renowned Maison Jansen. Its oblong shape with rounded ends (an elongated oval) creates a fluid and elegant silhouette.
  • The architectural structure is crafted entirely from solid brass (embellished with gilded bronze details). The brass frame features a beautiful, luminous golden patina.
  • The fluted vertical posts support the tilting central mirror via two side clamps adorned with rings. The lower section is stabilized by a crossbar and rests on a magnificent curved four-legged base, finely chiseled with acanthus leaf motifs and ending in volute feet
