Small teapot in nashiji lacquer with maki-e decoration featuring a geometric exterior design with floral motifs, accented by three family crests (mon). These emblems depict the triple leaf of the hollyhock (aoi) within a circle (maruni mitsubaaoi mon), a symbol of the Owari branch of the powerful Tokugawa clan.
Circular, removable, and slightly domed lid with an openwork knob handle.
