Stunning Gien earthenware shellfish set, “Grands Crustacés” model, 17 pieces.

Slightly ivory in color, it consists of 15 plates, a soup tureen, and a large oval platter.

The designs are hand-painted.

This model was created in 1923 and reissued in 1938 and 1961, featuring Art Deco-inspired designs and shapes.

The plates feature a rim decorated with 6 rows of scales and adesign of seashells or crustaceans, with 11 different designs.

The round soup tureen, with a double handle, is decorated with a seashell.

The oval platter depicts a lobster.

Serving dish: 67.5 cm by 27.5 cm.
